What i have is on both a built in ethernet or network adaptor and an ethernet cable connecting them both directly.
This i understand is all i need.
Really simple set up.
The desktop however is on 2000 pro os and the laptop is on xp home.
They wont connect and share files. And one asks me to make a floppy disk to configure the network or something which is no good as my laptop only has a cd drive.
errrrr!!
Does anyone have any clue how to connect these 2 computers as i would be of great use. And would be much appreciated.
